I don't know about SpikeSource, but SourceLabs isn't seeking to capitalize specifically from putting software together, but rather to offer services around a set of software that we believe we can stand behind and are open about why we believe we can stand behind it.

In fact at SourceLabs we put it right up front that you are not locked in to our technology, it's a great thing about open software: you are not inextricably tied to the vendor.
