Hey, you! Off the beach; back to the bench!
;-P

Just to say, this nasty aulde dawg has reason for raggin' your ass: working on a microwave landing system (1 of 3 companies on the planet, at the time) I had an AutoCad wiz or two, some of the world's best RF engineers who could talk C as though it was plain text, a head of drafting who couldn't type let alone run a PC ... point is: I wasn't beta-testing, so if I could find a good habit to instill I did, no questions asked. I also got WP HQ in Salt Lake City to give me a toll-free number (expensive in 1989) cuz I was bustin' their balls. Best word-processor I've ever used bar none, full stop.

I think Jot/Dojo is special. Workarounds are workarounds. You want to go that route *shrug* I've had my heart broken before. I'm into the last third of my life; whatever principles that remain to me are unassailable. If things don't go golden *shrug* we won't deal with global warming or Iran and NKorea, either. I can have fun with Rialto and Tiddly.

But when I think about producing solutions that matter (see http://www.cigionline.ca/about/igloo_solution_specialist.php for e.g.) I come up with Jot/Dojo and that's what I want to evangelize. Long lines that don't wrap and login SNAFU *shrug* that's just lack of focus, IMNSHO. FWIW. Yada-bla-blah. But fact is I don't walk people face first into thorny bushes. I just don't. And won't.

Have you read Heidegger on _techne_? There's a tantric tradition in Europe ... it's just hidden. heh

hope y'all had a real good summer
